Running on empty.......

At least that's how I'm feeling...
Maybe it's that it is nearly mid year and I know that
I usually feel ready for a break at this time of year.
I am tired and am not getting any where most days.
These photos are of the boys room and no only two are in there not six.
I have not seen that floor for 2 weeks I kid you not, and the rest of the house isn't much better.
I have taken the sheets of the bed to wash, at lest I'm on top of the laundry.
So there you have it the real me mess and all, I have been working on the lounge room and family room this morning and they are
looking better..I don't cope real well when there is mess all around, which
probably explains why I am feeling so over whelmed..
What with assignments, exams, homework and not getting home real
early when we have been to the hospital it is all getting a bit.....well much...
Exams finish this week so that will be a bit of breathing space, and
then next week is the last week of school.
When Greg gets out of hospital you won't get me in that car again
for a long time as I'm sick of driving. It is a 40 min trip from here to the hospital each day
and so some days I am spending 2 hours in the car if I get the children
from school and take them back to visit dad.

Sorry that this post is a bit of a rant, but hey, please tell me others
have bad times to, I suppose that's life isn't it the
ups and downs. When I can see the boys floor then I'm
sure I'll also see that light at the end of the tunnel....
Blessings to all.......
Mandy

  1. Mandy, there is nothing better for the soul than a good rave and moan. It refreshes the inner woman and always makes us feel better. As far as I am concerned you can rant and rave to your hearts content and thats what we as friends are here for, to listen and help whenever we can.

  3. Hun, we All have times like this... and you're certainly not alone.
That's what I LOVE about this blogging thing. We can rant and rave to our hearts content... knowing that other folks care about what you're going through.

You've got priorities right now... and picking up messes is the least of your worries.
Just don't let it stress you too much, okay?

So rant any time you want and get it off your chest! We have broad shoulders and big hearts around here. :-)

  4. Hey Mandy

I only have 2 girls and they can turn a room upside down in minutes! UniDaughter is coming home this weekend for a week swot vac so I am prepared for steamed up, wet floored bathrooms, soggy towels on the floor, hair on the tiles from straightening, tissues left on the sink, spilt toothpaste etc etc etc etc. But I can't wait for her to be home! ;)

    Cheers - Joolz

..and the room is not that bad for goodness sakes, they are boys! Lol!

  6. Mandy,
I was going to say, "boys will be boys," but then I remembered how bad my own bedroom gets on a regular basis! LOL You're just braver than the rest of us. I don't think I could post pictures of my mess.

Glad to hear Greg will be coming home. You're in my prayers.

  8. Close the door on the boys room.

Tidy up what you need to, to keep your sanity.

    Take that needed break.

  9. My floors are in need of a vacuum. Our exams are finished, it was not so cold today, but I will be happier next week I am sure, hopefully with nicer looking floors.

  11. You have a lot on in your life at the moment so feeling overwhelmed is perfectly normal. I think I feel overwhelmed all of the time because my house is messy all of the time, and that day that it gets cleaned and laundry put away I feel I've accomplished something...but that might only last the afternoon till the kids come home from school...then it's back to overwhelmed, getting dinner on the table, kids in the bath....blah, blah, blah.

If there's food on the table and clean clothes then you're doing fantastically...forget about the rest.
