A camping I will go.....

Hi all ......sorry it has been so long in between blogs..I have plenty of photos to show only they will not download from the camera.....There has been plenty of activity going on here. My fence is all completed and is now dog proof thanks to my wonderful handy man....The tomatoes are planted and looking good....I only worked 2 days this week as my Mum came for a visit, I new she was coming Wednesday....what I didn't know was she was staying until today(Friday) We have had a lovely time, we went to the Quilt show in Toowoomba, walked through some wonderful gardens and took the boys to the model train display...It is so nice to play the tourist in your hometown.....
But the biggest news of all is......
We are going camping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am taking the four youngest children to the Bunya Mtns camping for three days...I can't really explain why, it is just something I know we need to do....My 2 boys have never been camping as Greg hated it with a passion, he preferred to stay in a unit somewhere which is very nice...But I have always loved to camp I was brought up camping...So I have bought a tent and all the gear I need and on Sunday we are off camping...There are a lot of walks and sites to see at the Bunyas so we are all so excited about going....I know it will be good for the children as it will take there minds of things........
I will have lots to tell you when I get back....Enjoy your week-end and may all your dreams come true.....
Mandy

  1. Thanks for letting us know how you are going Mandy. My kids are off on a weekend holiday too, and I think it will be nice for all of us as well, our little girl is still at home.

I am happy for you about the camping, I hope you all have a great time.

  4. Hi Mandy

We have never been a camping family either as we prefer the comfort of a roof over our heads but Angus is hoping to kit out a Land Rover Defender for camping for the two of us. That way we can head off, find a nice place and set up camp or go to a van park and pull in to an ensuite site. It may take a few years until this comes to fruition but I think it would be a good way to see this great land.
Enjoy your camping trip - I can smell the bangers cooked on the campfire, toasting marshmallows, some damper and golden syrup maybe? The kids will love it.

    Cheers - Joolz

  5. Good on you Mandy but sorry I am with Greg on this one. Give me a unit or motel anyday over a tent. I like my warm showers, my electricity, snuggly beds etc. Bill has always been a camper and has tried many times as the kids grew up to get me motivated with no success. I always said he could take the kids , I didn't mind staying home......
Have an absolutely wonderful time, keep warm and safe...
    much love Deb

  8. Ohh Mandy you let me down girl, I hate camping, no not true I don't like camping. I think I'm camping if the pool at the resort isn't heated ok. And you have chosen the windiest coldest few days we have had in ages what fun it will be fighting with the tent in the wind. Sorry you need a talking to here. But the kids will love it. Adrian used to take Ashleigh and Danielle and they would have a ball. So have a great time and good on you for starting new adventures with the kids. Mwah xx
