Getting Back To Normal....

Things are starting to get back to normal around here........but a different type of normal..Yesterday after church I took the children to the park for a picnic, it was a lovely relaxing after-noon and best of all I didn't see any-one we knew. I know that sounds awful so let me explain..Since the Sunday Greg went into hospital 2 weeks ago I have had people here all the time.....now I know it's because they love me and worry about me but I need to be alone at some stage...Even today Chloe is of work and Alanah is home as she has no exams on today....Well at least I can tell them to rack off....lol. Any-way Alanah hasn't even gotten out of bed so I don't have to worry about her.
Let me tell you what I am up to these days...My life has changed in more ways than one.To start I think I am going to have to change my blog description to ....Single Mother of seven wonderful children...Farmer and cattle handler...Owns own business and working there.....Loves to garden and craft but has no time to do this.....Getting the picture ladies......Last Friday was my first day back in the workshop...If you didn't already know Greg run the finest Auto-Elec business in Toowoomba..Well now I do! only problem with that is I haven't worked there in 11 years. O did I mention that my Secretary Quit that is also why I have to go into the office...Probably sounds worse than it is, I have a Brother in-law that works there also and he is trying his best to help me....I have so much to learn as I haven't done book work on a computer before, but hey I love a challenge!!!!! The business is for sale so I hope and pray that it will sell quickly....As for the cows well how hard can they be let them roam around the farm and eat grass....We have had 2 new little calves in the past 2 weeks with about 10 more ready to calf...
So there is some of the exciting events in my world at this time...Now I,m going to drop by a few blogs and have a read then back to the Monday housework.....
Blessing

  1. Good luck with the book work Mandy, you will pick it up If I can anyone can (I still struggle with some things). I cheat a bit I enter day to day stuff into the computer then every three months before the Bas is due (sometimes sooner if we have been really busy) I get my book keeper in to balance everything and prepare the Bas Statements, it saves me so much stress. He is in my top five important men in my life lol.
With the cows just dont forget to shut the gate so they dont get in your garden lol. Take care and it's good to have some time alone.

  3. Good to see you back on line Mandy. There will be a buyer out there for the business and he will turn up just as you get the hang of the books and the routine of the day to day stuff! Don't forget to take some time to stop and smell the roses along the way.

  6. Mandy, wow how busy can one woman be! You shoud be so proud of yourself being able to tell people to bug-off. It is a really important thing to do to allow you space to breathe. I am sure that everything will fall into place for you when it is meant to. Sending you much support and love to help you through--but I promise not to visit-lol.

  7. I know just how you feel, Mandy, about needing some time alone. There has been times in the past week when I just wanted to grab the broom and shoo everyone out. Even though I've been in bed with flu for the past several days (or especially so), I need some just-me time.

  8. Mandy, you're an amazing woman - do you know that?
I know how hard this all is right now, but with your strength and determination and with God on your side, things will eventually fall into place.
