Good-bye Greg...

This is the hardest post I will ever write....
Early Thursday morning Greg went to be with Jesus..
My darling went to sleep Tuesday night and never woke up. All the children were home and they all had their chance to say good-bye...Hugs and kisses were given and the room was filled with love.
Tomorrow being Fathers Day here in Australia we are all going fishing...Greg loved his fishing , so this will be our way of being with him..
We are all doing O.k. I suppose cause we had our good-byes..I know it hasn't quite sunk in with the little boys as Robbie said that it is like Dad is still in hospital....It will hit home at the funeral I think, all I can do is be there when it hits.
His funeral will be on Tuesday in Toowoomba.
I don't know when I will blog again, as the house is full of children and friends and family. When they go then we will see what happens.....
I want to thank you all for your prayers and love to me this year it has meant so much to me....
Blessings to you all
Mandy

  3. Hi Mandy, I am sorry for your loss.

I am glad everyone got to say goodbye.

I completely understand about the blogging, it usually takes three weeks for me for major things to start wearing off, then of course it depends how you feel then.

I am glad the hospital stays have helped things with the kids.

I had a little tear or more on Tuesday, you were very thoughtful to have Alanah post, thank you.

I hope your week goes well, especially your family time tomorrow.

  14. Mandy I am so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. You all had the chance to say your goodbyes, but when there is love in a family, like there was in yours, Greg will never be far from you. You will see him in you sons and echoes of him in your daughters and you will still have the strength you both developed in raising your children and making a strong, loving and resilient family as well as the knowledge that he loved you so very much.

We will look forward to your posting again when life settles down. We send our love and prayers to you and your family and our thoughts will be with you.

    Margaret.

  20. Dear Mandy and family,

My sincere sympathy to you all at this sad time.

'It will be the little things
    that you will remember,
    the quiet moments,
    the smiles, the laughter.
    And although it may seem
    hard right now,
    it will be the memories
    of these little things
    that help to push
    away the pain
    and bring the smiles
    back again.
    Praying for friends to
    comfort you,
    faith to uphold you
    and loving memories to help
    you all smile again.'

    Sincerely,

    Joolz

  22. Mandy, I just learned of your loss from Deb's blog. I give you my most sincere sympathy. It seems we have traveled similar paths during this past year. On Wednesday morning, my sweet husband Vann passed away after battling pancreatic cancer. We held his memorial service yesterday. I'm not here to give you advice about how to cope. I'm having to figure that out myself. But I do know that our memories of our sweet hubbies, our friends, families, and faith are key. Thinking of you and praying for you. --Susan @ Blackberry Creek, Leeds, Alabama, USA

  34. Dearest Mandy,

We don't know each other but Kate, from Tatersmama, shared your loss with her readers. And I just wanted to say how very sorry I am. I pray Christ's comfort and compassion are evident to you and your kids during these hard days and that he will provide for you in all your needs.

I will be following now and checking back to see how you are getting along when, and if, you decide to blog again.
