Fog,bedrooms and gardens....

This is the amazing sight I woke up to this morning.
The fog was just rolling in, normally we don't get fog this thick as we are low in the valley here..After I took these photos it got even thicker, I never realized how pretty fog could be... Well the bed rooms are finally finished, the beds have been changed around and all looks much better. I do have to mention that I got in trouble from Alanah for the photo of her, but it was funny.....Sorry Alanah.....no really I am .....kinda....

Alanah's room

Rooms are not the only thing getting a change...Awhile back I mentioned how I wanted to get the back yard tidied up after the Septic drama...Well things are under way..Handy Andy and yes his name is Andy and he is my Handy man, has staked out all the areas and is busy with the tractor grading ...But would you believe it on Friday I had a phone call asking if I wanted to sell the big tractor...Greg had 2, the big one and the little tractor....I know I don't need them both and honestly I probably don't need any....but I hadn't really thought much about selling them...Any way by Saturday after noon I had 2 people wanting to by the big one and one fellow wants the bobcat as well.... I told him we will need it for a couple of weeks before it can go as we are using the tractor....I will hear from the first fellow this evening...

Needless to say we have had to move forward all the work we wanted to do with the grader blade...so it is a hive of activity and dust here..Will post some photos latter in the week. I will also be getting my new vege garden at the side. Where it is I have out grown...So as you can see I am busy, there is much to do in the garden as the weeds are growing faster than anything...

The workshop is doing well, and I am really enjoying being there, Oh I miss being home and my gardening, but as the days get longer there is more time to be out in the garden in the afternoon.. I finish work at 3p.m and get the children from school so I have a hour to spend in the garden before getting tea ready.
I hope you all had a good week-end...
Blessings to all
Mandy

  1. Hi Mandy. There is still fog outside here, it doesn't hang around the houses, more below the mountain. My daughter came back from hot Malaysia, a in between day yesterday. When she woke from her sleep in today, she dressed for school as she wants to catch up with her friends and opened the door and said it looked cold! Ran back for a jumper, it was actually raining then.

I love the rooms, and glad to hear good news about your lumpy yard.

  2. Hi Mandy

Um, Bathurst is a sore point in our Ford, Ford, Ford house because it was Holden 1st, Holden 2nd & Holden 3rd! It was a wet track which caused lots of re-starts which I find very tedious and ultimately all the Fords cacked themselves throughout the day! Angus was not happy.
Love the rooms - a breath of fresh air. The pics of Greg are nice - a good way to keep him close by.

    Cheers - Joolz

You have been busy!! I laughed about the plies of rubbish you expect aorund hee over the coming months!! But honestly alst night I was tired and put a milk bottle in the kitchen bin instead of walking to the front door where the recycling one is - then I felt guilty got it out and oput it away properly so it does keep you honest.

Glad you are enjoying work it is great to be home to pick the kids up I come home have afternoon tea with the boys then do some phone calls or some work and I still find time to weed abit or plant some seeds. Mind you I now have about a guzzilion seedlings that need to be planted and the garden beds are still a mess!!!!! That might be todays project!

  5. Hi Mandy.
Your doing well. I have been told many times not to make big decisions such as moving, selling a farm, business etc, for twelve months after a major event eg death. I really don't know if this is true but maybe some of your other blogger friends may be able to help us. Take care. Carol

  6. Hi Mandy

I was just back tracking through your blog and came across a pic of Cassie wearing a school uniform, about to head off for a school trip.
Would you believe that the maroon tartan skirt is exactly the same as our St. Anthony's Primary school uniform that my girls wore. Uncanny!

I also loved the Dec. 15, 2008 post about teenagers taking random photos on your camera - that so happens in our house too!

    Cheers - Joolz
