A Quiet Friday.................

Today it is raining....Not the heavy kind just a steady misty shower. The kind of Autumn days that I like.....So I have the fire roaring and the house is warm and smells like toast....After all the house work work is done I am going to sit and do some more of this (knitting) I just know that it will be a slow day and I am going to enjoy every moment of it.....
I do have to go to Gatton later to look at mattresses as I have bought a new bed and now need a mattress for it....The price of them though!!!!!!!!!! I also will do my grocery shopping in Gatton. If the rain keeps up there will be no soccer tomorrow as the council will close the fields....you can here the disappointment in my voice at having another day home tomorrow....Keep that rain a coming is all I can say..
I hope you all enjoy your weekend what ever weather comes your way...
Blessings

Enjoying Autumn.....

I am enjoying the cooler days, makes gardening a pleasure doesn't it. I have even decided to enjoy all the leaves that keep dropping as soon as I rake them up. This area down the side of the house seems like it hasn't been leaf free for ages...Mornings are getting harder to go to work, after I drop the children at the bus I either go out to the garden or if it is windy and cold I sit in my wonderful sitting room... This is the first winter this room has been used as a sitting room, remember it was the dinning room...It gets all the morning sun and on cold mornings I sit here with my cuppa and knitting...So getting to work later and later, never mind...
Some exciting news around here............Alanah is coming home.............she arrives on the 28th of this month..So this week will be spent getting her room ready .....A certain sister that refuses to admit that she has missed her is going down to get Alanah from the airport....I think that may be all 3 are going to meet her....

Well I had better get to work, boy it is cold in the work shop, would rather be home gardening or knitting...
Blessings to all

A Day At Home......

Yes that's right home all day and do you know what I have done so far.....
Nothing really.
Checked my emails, wrote an email to my 4 kids living away from home, and then checked up on them all through face book....Now I wonder what I would be doing if I didn't have the computer. O and now I'm blogging....
After this though I have so much housework to do....I am looking forward to the slow rhythm that pottering around does for me...Pottering I think I am to young to be pottering yet....
This photo above of William, Cassie took it on the week end...A real farm boy grass in mouth and that stand, my goodness it is Greg all over...

The boys are busy making motor bike jumps, every spare minute is going into this project..Boys and bikes, bikes and jumps, jumps and broken bones...Well that was the way it went for there older brother.....But that's boys and I love sitting up at the Dairy watching them....

Soccer is in full swing again, so tomorrow is spent cheering the side on....Am having my Mother in law for the week end...It does her well to be around us plenty to keep her mind active....
Now I must go and find my kitchen benches and floor....
Blessings

A Bridge to cross.....

This last week I have been busy with life...
Sometimes the real world world comes knocking on your door and you can't keep it out any more. You know work, home, children, family commitments and the list goes on..........The picture above sums up my life at the moment. I know I am crossing a bridge into the unknown, scary hey. Well it could be but I have decided not be scared. Instead I am going to cross over and face head on what is on the other side...Who knows it could be exciting and we all need a bit of excitement in our lives..
I'll be back later in the week....

Blessings
