Bedroom Makeover...........

Honestly where has winter gone?
I feel like I missed it being away so much. I love Winter but this year just hasn't been all that cold here in Flaggy.
But I still redecorated for Winter....A bit late sure...

As most of you know I love to decorate my home and change things around a bit. The below picture is my bedroom in summer. Above it is decorated for Winter.

BEFORE
I have done a bit of rearranging as well.
BEFORE

I changed the curtains, blue velvet ones that I got from David and Karen in Charters...
I always wanted red ones but these are even better, they were free......

The BEDSPREAD !!!!!
I splurged on this 2 winters ago...It is a vintage one I got from France...
$300 including postage a bargain really.
The European pillows are from Country target in Goondawindi
and the little silk ones from the op shop.

The detail on bed spread.

The paintings are all from op shops. The
curtain  into the bathroom was a find when sourcing for our own shop. Jute mat from K Mart
and the red mat beside the bed is a camel sack from the Middle east also from our shop.

This little side table was gifted to me, all I had to do was sand the top and change the knobs.

Bruce's side table is from when he was a boy and he had it in his bed room.
I also sanded the top and changed the handle so they matched kinda lol.

The leather mat was a birthday present from my daughter Jess.
The lamp I've had for about 15 years.

bed side before.

This side board has found a new home in here as well.....I am
thinking of sanding the top as well, unsure still yet.

Well I hope you enjoyed the tour. I love shopping my home and moving furniture around to different rooms as I find it gives them new life.

Travelling Granny...............

Hello to those that still follow me...
Ever since I closed the shop I have been away spending time with the Grand children.
Bruce and Will call me the Travelling Granny.....

I spent some time in Glen Morgan with Billy and MacGregor, as Cassie was not well.

I am so pleased I am able to now and go out and help my children when they need me.

When I got home it was time to give the caravan a good clean and make over.
I decided to make the van more me. Lots of vintage sheets to add color...

New cushions and a wall hanging....An amazing macrame curtain and I was happy with how it all came together.   Then it was time to hook up and head north to Charters Towers.

We were going to stop the night but Bruce and Will decided we would drive straight through.....
All going slightly stir crazy by Belyando Crossing, which is 2 hours from Charters...

We got there just on sunset, so good to see my big boy.....We spent a week looking after Mason and Phoebe as Karen was away with netball. O how I loved spending this time with them...

Then it was back in the van this time with David, Karen, Mason and Phoebe. First stop
The Beach...We spent 10 days together holidaying....

Road tripping..

Beach walking, cave exploring and lots of relaxing....

3 weeks we spent up north and I know for sure it is some thing I want to spend more time doing.

Back home and then I took Mum out to Warwick for Jumpers and Jazz....

Next stop

Goondiwindi........It was friendship day at Abby and Graces school so I went out to enjoy the day at school with them....I was only there 3 days but it was nice to spend time with them...

So you can see why the boys call me the travelling Granny hahahaha....
I am home for a while now as I also have to be Mum to Will who is still at school. This handsome young man is half way through year 11 now.....Time where has it gone....

I hope you enjoyed that Quick tour with me....I will leave you with some pics 8 year old Grace took of her self on my camera...These will be kept for her 21st hahahaha

RESTING..........

Resting,
yes I do believe in my last post I said I needed to
REST.
Well for the last 2 weeks that's what I've been doing...

It was a beautiful Sunday and Bruce and I were out clearing up the farm
burning some piles of palm fongs and cutting wood for the winter.

Just enjoying the beautiful sun and
stacking the firewood into the ute when BANG.....
Just like that my knee locked up....

My doctor said the injury was like a footballers, never seen one so bad.
Torn and damaged ligaments and tendons... Also blood clots OUCH

So as you see lots of rest too much rest.
I am leaning to be still, not easy for me.

Bruce and William have been amazing in helping me and I am now
able to hobble with the aid of a walker { never thought I would say that }

A little funny I put up on my Instagram stories yesterday...

Well been sitting at the computer as long as I can, so back to resting my leg.
Have a great weekend all...

One Month...........

Time flies
One month ago we closed our shop..
And I haven't stopped since....
See why here

The Sunday I closed the shop I got in the car and drove out to Gundy to spend some
much needed time with these 3.......
What fun we had, we just spent time together........

Then I got back and it was Easter...

Good Friday was spent fishing, this tradition is being passed on to our grandchildren now.....I don't like fishing but all the kids do, so I am happy to sit and watch.

Easter Sunday saw Billy have his first taste of Easter eggs...

Loved having the little ones here for Easter all camped out.

After Easter Cassie, Ben and Billy stayed waiting for the new baby to arrive.

MacGregor Benjamin
arrived on
27/4/19

MacGregor is named after his granddad..
He is also No 12 grandchild. Crazy to think that Greg has been gone 10
years this year, he would have been the best grandfather ever......

I went out to help Cassie and Ben settle in with there 2 boys.
Spent lots of time cuddling up with the boys.

I am home now....

Wow what a month it has been. Exactly why I gave up the shop so I could
spend more time with my children and grandchildren.

And in the garden of course....

Plenty to do out there but that is for another post...

Blessing to all

Mandy
