Hello...

Hi All...
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my last post. I would love to answer you all back but I am having problems with my email address here on my blog argghhh....It won't let me send any emails back to you...I'll work it out soon I hope.

I wanted to share this great photo my daughter took of the farm where they are growing there herbs. We have coriander and parsley growing at the moment. It smells so nice when they are over there working as the coriander reminds me of Vietnam.

On Saturday night we had a bush dance at the local hall, our 2 Japanese students loved it as it was there first bush dance. You can see them in the photo above, also William he loves to get down and do a little heal and toe action hahah...

Enjoy your week.

Blessings

A Wedding....

Yes there is a reason why I have been busy painting madly around the house........ I'm getting ready for a wedding at the end of the month..

Whose wedding your wondering....

Mine

Now there's something I never thought I would be doing again getting married..But sometimes life and love takes you by surprise.

The new stairs are for a reason as Bruce and I are getting married in this part of the garden. Now the house is all finished we will be working outside to get every thing ship shape.

I will tell you a little more about Bruce in another post, I'll let you digest this post first..

Before and After....

I finally have some photos of my new look family room.
That's right the painting is finished (insert happy dance) the last of the renos is over....
Lets have a look at the journey shall we, come along and have a look with me.

Remember this room before was bedrooms and entry way(below)

Now it is one nice big open living room.

We knocked down a lot of walls and had a support beam put in. Even before we painted it looked so good.

But now it is amazing.
What a change, so bright and airy. I have also moved the table and sitting area around. It is all working much better with the table closer to the kitchen.

Below you can see how this was once a bedroom.

Looking more like a family room with the lounge and a few plates on the wall.

Ta DA
I know, have I mentioned that I am loving the white, and don't the plates look so much better against the white walls.

Even this dinner set that has been here for years looks better.

Have you noticed I am using a turquoise colour in here, I have been collecting bits and pieces in this colour waiting for when I painted.

So what do you think?
I have to admit at first the white was very well WHITE, but once I got my plates on the walls and colour around with the cushion's and throws it made it much more MANDY.

But not every thing is white, I still love my blue kitchen. I have given it a freshen up with new white trims though, I will show you that latter.

Have a great day.

My new spot...

William finger is doing much better and he said thank you for the comments, and we did go to golden archers for a sundae after being at the hospital Sunday night.

Now to share what we did renovating ways on the weekend.
Even though it rained all weekend we still manages to get a few things done. Below is the veranda before.

Below Now. We did more than pull the railing off.

I have new stairs!!!!!!
I am so excited  about this as I have always thought a set of stairs leading straight from the side door out to the garden would be a great idea. And it is!!!!!

So now looking from the side door the view in not interrupted. I know I have to put railings on them and I really don't want to as I love the look of them with out railings.

I am enjoying my new sunny spot for a morning coffee out here.

I'm off to the hair dressers now...Enjoy your day..

Warning.....

When fishing do not use your finger as bait.

Yep William got a hook stuck well and truly in his finger...4 needles later.... lots of screaming,...... me trying not to pass out (Greg was good at this not me) lots of cutting open of finger and lots of blood later it came out.

William HATES going to the doctors but when we were on the way to the hospital he held up his hand and said.
" They better give me a needle to knock me out cause I can't go to school with this in my finger"

He was so brave he didn't move once while they were cutting it out...

But he'll be back fishing again on the week end I'm sure....

That's my fishing story you got any?????
