Where have I been the last 6 weeks

Not home...
The last 6 weeks has seen me out and about
a lot.

First I spent a couple of days with my Mum.
We went to the open gardens in Maleny. This was a feast for a gardeners eyes.

All these photos were taken in the one garden, after that I was so busy looking I forgot to take some photos.

Then we headed out to visit the girls out west.
First a overnight stop at Alanah & Cams in Dalby

And Charlie of course...This one is so cheeky, and look at those
Blue eyes..

Then we moved on to Glen Morgan to Cassie and Ben's...
To what is my dream house....hahah.
We took over Ben's saddle making studio.

To the scapbooking studio... I took all my supplies out and Cassie and I had a great time getting some much needed scrapbooking done. I just happened to leave it all out there when I left, guess I will have to go back.

We got the old wood stove working as it was cold and wet out there.
I taught Cassie how to cook on the stove and it has been going since..

Love these old stoves for cooking.

Jessica came for a visit to Cassie's as well.

Henry

Henry is growing so fast as are the girls.

Abby

Abby and Grace doing some painting like there Mum.

Grace

Hid and seek is always a favorite game with Uncle Will in the old homestead as there is so many places to hide.

Hide & seek

Soon it was time to say goodbye to Cassie and head back home.

Another stop at Dalby on the way home for a couple of nights.

Charlie

Congratulations Jess and Lachlan...

What a wonderful week end we had celebrating my eldest daughter's Engagement to her child hood sweat heart Lachlan.

The Surprise party was in Roma. Lachlans sister Tameka organized it all, and it was a wonderful surprise for them as they had no idea at all.

Alanah got the engagement cake for them and it was carefully brought out from Toowoomba.

Good friends Danielle and Ashley also came out, along with friends and family on both sides.

As you can imagine there was the usual family photo taking but they all look like this,

....us all gooing over Grace.

I am so proud of Jess and Lach, they have  there whole life ahead of them and each other to share it with. They love Roma and are very happy out there, in the end that's all you want as a Mother is for your children to be happy.

We stayed in the caravan park for the night as we wanted to try out the new pop top van.....We learnt to set it all up( in the pouring rain) not many dramas where had. We need to do a few things before we head up to Davids in 2 weeks though. It was a great opportunity to have a run and see what we needed to do.

and one last photo of Grace in her swing.
It was a very big week end, 10 hours of driving....It was worth it though to see the look on Jess and Lachlans faces....

Guess what ????I have the inter net back on at home(happy dance) so I will be able to check up on what you have all been up to...Early night for me tonight after yoga with my computer and my blog list...

Gee my life is exciting hahahaha

The rest of the week end...

I know you have been waiting with bated breath wondering what the rest of my week end was like.
Well I got a visit from my beatuiful  daughter Jessica

and the most sweetest baby in the world
Grace..

They were only there for the shortest time but we were all so excited to see them both as it has been a while.
The boys just love there niece and I think she is going to grow up to love them just as much.

While all this was going on William came in screaming holding his mouth, I expected blood and missing teeth. Instead he had been bitten by a paper wasp and his bottom lip just ballooned up...He did look so funny and sad all in one.

It did make blowing out candles on his birthday cake hard to do.

After Jess and Grace had gone and the screaming stopped the neighbors turned up. Lindsay at 84 got out and had a game of soccer....

Once the boys had worn him out he needed a drink.

Sitting in the cool of the evening watching the birthday boy playing soccer and sharing a drink with your wonderful neighbors was a great ending to the day.

I am going to drop by and see what you have all been up too.
Blessings

Baby Shower......

Welcome to Jessica's Baby Shower.
This post is a photo overload so be warned..
Jess's baby is due is 10 weeks so Alanah, Chloe and Cassie decided she needed a party. Alanah organized it all on her own. The cake and cup cakes she had especially made for the day. The cupcake had baby footprints on them and the booties on the cake were so well made.

I made a cake as well but mine didn't need any baking.
2 dozen cloth nappies, dmmies, teddy and teething ring and you have a
Nappy Cake.
Come in and have a look at the decorating I did to make this a special celebration you need lots of decorations.

A warm welcome at the front gate from teddy and an old highchairthat I love. I did buy the wooden blockes from K. Mart they will get lots of use in the years to come I am sure. They say
Baby shower welcome.
We set the cradle up at the entrance to the veranda as a place to put all the presents...Looks good as well. Cassandra made the baby shower sign and we placed it on the music stand.
Once inside I hang baby clothes up. These clothes then went to the Mother to be, such a cute trick to use baby clothes. The letter B came out from the bathroom for the day. B for baby.
Lots of pink, white and blue as this was the colors I was going for. I told Jess I even have the house painted in the right colors. hahahah
The table setting.
Here is Jessica, Chloe is hiding behind the post. We had a 30 people here, I am loving the new open plan of this room.( the builder is on his way to get rid of the posts yeh)
Alanah also ordered these Baby bottle candles as thank you gifts..
Another decorating idea...
I had a fun time cleaning up prams, highchairs, cradles and baby gear for this day. I didn't want to spend alot of money on decorations so I just used what I had.
A great way to give that real baby feel I thought.
I hope you enjoyed sharing the day.
Blessings
