One Month...........

Time flies

One month ago we closed our shop..

And I haven't stopped since....

The Sunday I closed the shop I got in the car and drove out to Gundy to spend some

much needed time with these 3.......

What fun we had, we just spent time together........

Then I got back and it was Easter...

Good Friday was spent fishing, this tradition is being passed on to our grandchildren now.....I don't like fishing but all the kids do, so I am happy to sit and watch.




Easter Sunday saw Billy have his first taste of Easter eggs...



Loved having the little ones here for Easter all camped out.

After Easter Cassie, Ben and Billy stayed waiting for the new baby to arrive.

 MacGregor is named after his granddad..

He is also No 12 grandchild. Crazy to think that Greg has been gone 10

years this year, he would have been the best grandfather ever......

I went out to help Cassie and Ben settle in with there 2 boys.

Spent lots of time cuddling up with the boys.

I am home now....

Wow what a month it has been. Exactly why I gave up the shop so I could 

spend more time with my children and grandchildren.

And in the garden of course....

Plenty to do out there but that is for another post...

Easter Holiday.....

We have been on the road since Good Friday. This road trip is a family affair.

We drove to Charters Towers and had Easter there with David, Karen and Mason, Chloe and Damien drove up the day before with Harrison.

Then it was back on the road again to camp and fish at Lucinda.

We had a good set up too.

We spent 3 nights here fishing and relaxing, then onto Flying Fish point.

Tomorrow we drive up to Cairns.

Easter Decorating...

Wednesday already.....

Or hump day.

 

 

I spent Monday dusting and fluffing around with all my Easter decorations I have been collecting.

 

I even found Bunny that I got for Jessica when she was a baby, now she's waiting for her own baby.sighhhhhhh.

 



 

 

I have picked up a nice selection of egg cups and bunnies for different vinaigrette's around my home.

It is fun to get in and decorate for different occasions isn't it?

 

 

My favorite is this crazy looking pink bunny and little pink basket I found. I put theses on my glass cake stand I got some time ago.

 

 

 

Even though we won't be here for Easter it is still nice to decorate.

Easter Blessings......

Who said there is no Easter Bunny....here he is at the Mulgowie markets on Saturday morning. Will and Robbie were in there making sure they didn't miss out on any eggs.
This has to be the prettiest market I have been to in a long time, the setting is just so lovely and peaceful.
Not that you would know it from these photos, there are children running every where as there was an Easter Egg hunt..

Good Friday was spent with the Storey clan..We were to go out fishing but we had had quite a bit of rain and we couldn't get to the creek.

Never mind every one came to my place and we had a wonderful day.

The boys all decided to go down to our creek and look for yabbies. There is still a nice stream running down there. A lovely walk we had up the creek, all bare foot of course.

This is the biggest one they caught, lots of attention given to it and yes when they got home they cooked them up and ate them.....Not me though.....

Today we went to church and then had fish and chips at the park for a treat, as there was only Robbie, Will and I as Cassie was at Easter fest all week-end..I have to admit that it has been a sad lonely day, I have missed my Love and my children that are all away..But life has to go on and we have enjoyed our Easter activities..Tomorrow we are off to visit my Mum and Dad out at Cooyar....But first I must go and see what ya all did for Easter..

Eastersneaked up on me................

So it is Easter this week-end, what happened to February and March I lost them some where...and I havn't even got any easter eggs for the children yet. Here's hoping there is still some in the shops other wise I am in trouble.

This Easter long week end we have a few things planned to do, Good Friday is fishing with the relies. The boys are so Looking forward to this, it has been a while since they have been fishing so it will be a fun day. Cassie is going to Easter fest for the three days her first time so you can imagine the excitement levels there...

Me, I am going to get into the garden. It is time to get my vege garden cleaned up and running, I miss the slow rhythm of going out to the garden daily...I am able to slow down a bit now as my right hand man is back at the workshop....yipeeeeee. Also I my have a buyer for the business, O how good would that be.....I'm already planning what I will do next, lots of ideas going around in my head as there is so much I want to do in life..

Tomorrow is the last day of school for two weeks so I will be home for them with the children, we are ALL looking forward to them and will even be ducking down to Armidale for a few days to visit some dear friends...
But for now it is time to pick the kiddos up from the school bus...
