Boys room.....Keeping it Real.........

Rooms are changing around here again....
This time it is the boys room.

Now I would love to show you some
wonderful glamor shots of  these rooms, but that just isn't
going to happen.
So here is real boys rooms.

This room is Robbie's room,

Robbie has the larger of the two rooms with a spare bed in it for
when guests come. Both rooms have great storage with built ins, and a built in desk in this room.

This is Williams room

This room needs a bit of work  as it just has all
the spare furniture in it.

William wants a animal theme with deer heads all over the place if I let him.

William is 11 and still loves to play with toys, so he now has the room to spread his Lego out
and play without Robbie tripping over it. I'm sure there will still be fights but at least now when I send them to their room they are separate and won't be able to fight. :)

Nothing flash or fancy just real boys rooms.
Not that I don't have plenty of ideas going around in my head as what
I would like to do, my pinterest is full of boys rooms.
But for now I'm going to settle for happy boys.

Thanks for coming by

A Day At Home......

Yes that's right home all day and do you know what I have done so far.....
Nothing really.
Checked my emails, wrote an email to my 4 kids living away from home, and then checked up on them all through face book....Now I wonder what I would be doing if I didn't have the computer. O and now I'm blogging....
After this though I have so much housework to do....I am looking forward to the slow rhythm that pottering around does for me...Pottering I think I am to young to be pottering yet....
This photo above of William, Cassie took it on the week end...A real farm boy grass in mouth and that stand, my goodness it is Greg all over...

The boys are busy making motor bike jumps, every spare minute is going into this project..Boys and bikes, bikes and jumps, jumps and broken bones...Well that was the way it went for there older brother.....But that's boys and I love sitting up at the Dairy watching them....

Soccer is in full swing again, so tomorrow is spent cheering the side on....Am having my Mother in law for the week end...It does her well to be around us plenty to keep her mind active....
Now I must go and find my kitchen benches and floor....
Blessings

Busy.....

Today I have been trying to bring some order to
the boys bedroom, no easy task. Trying to get them to throw things out isn't easy
as every-thing has a story to it. We did manage to get
it all nice and clean. Then we tackled the wardrobes and so the whole room is clean inside and
out...........
Winter uniforms are all aired and ready for Monday, last terms
lunch has been scraped from the bottom of schoolbag (I kid you not
the smell is still in my nose) shoes are polished, ready for school..
Then it was onto the fridge.
why o why do I let it get so bad........
There was so much stuff in there I couldn't fit another thing in there.

After the fridge I thought I might as well

clean the pantry. Half way through we had visitors

turn up which is when I realized

I'M STILL IN MY P.JS

talk about embarrassing.Thank goodness it was only in-laws

and they already know I'm strange...lol..

I had to get these jobs done as at the beginning of
the school holidays I said I will get these two rooms cleaned,
well today is the last day so I was out of time...
We have nothing planned for the week-end
which is how I like it.
Theirs no place like home.....
Have a great week-end all.

What A Week-end

We had the Local hall Christmas Tree on Friday night,
and guess what........ we got rained out!!!!
I don't think to many people minded though as the rain was good. 30 mls we got on Friday night.
Santa came and we sang Christmas carols and the children had there bag of lollies from Santa.
Then this at the end of the night......
Yep you guessed it!
Robbie broke his wrist.
My poor little boy, one of the big boys got a bit rough with playing, it was only a accident though just boys being boys.
He is in alot of pain with it though.

The wedding on Saturday was a real heat wave as it was so hot and humid,
I felt so sorry for the men in there suits.
Below is David, Ross and Adam, the three boys were Master of Ceremonies
for the wedding, they did a great job!

This photo is for my No 1 son who had to fly home alone very early Sunday morning.
Karen is staying down now so I know that David is missing his wife.
So here son is a lovely photo from the wedding of you both.

Here is the Bride and Groom.....
The bride was stunning, the whole wedding was just lovely, and once it rained
every thing cooled down....

We got 27mls of rain on Saturday night, some of the local creeks came down
and some of the boys couldn't get home from the wedding.

We have had so much wonderful rain all week end, the place is so green its hurting my eyes.........

This after noon we are getting 4 Japanese students for a couple of days.
So today will be busy making beds and getting rooms organized for them.

I hope every one had as great a week ed as I did.
Blessing to all..........

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!

I love the school holidays........
Yes I know I've said that before, but I do!!!!!!!!!!
No more up and at em......no more school lunches and early teas because there is school the next day....noooooooooo
Instead, lazy mornings of gardening and sitting on veranda drinking coffee, barbies for tea late..
Summer lazy holidays.........
Now don't get the wrong idea
that I lead a charmed life, because there will also be
yelling, threatening, yelling, tantrums (from the children as well) yelling and to finish of more yelling. Yes we all get a bit ratty at times, but that is life living in a Family.
Children fight, mum yells, children make HUGE mess mum yells a bit more but do you know what? I love school holidays........
I feel sad when I her women say how they dread or hate the school holidays,
I have to wonder are these women selfish or may be they forget what it was like to be a child and have fun.
I say relax go with the flow enjoy your children these holidays.
I am so glad that last week is behind me , what a busy full week.
May-be not as bad as some ones week though.
(If you haven't drop by daisymountain and say hello and send a blessing her way)
Here are photos of my two youngest getting there awards, isn't prep son above just so darn cute and small, O.K O.K I cried when my baby walked on stage, nearly forgot to take the photo.
Grade 5 son got the sportsman award. Sums him right up he loves his sports and is one of those boys that is good at any sports. He's like his big brother, would rather be kicking a ball than behind a desk. They get that from there Mother.
I have been tagged by Linda and Nicole. Thank you for this and next week I will
get to them. I would like to say hello to new readers, thank you for your comments
that you leave. I am enjoying going to your blogs and getting to know you...
O my! I just have to tell you this.....
See those Innocent looking boys of mine above...well they have just walked out in war paint
with their home made weapons. Their weapons of choice. Empty pens with pin board tacks in them..
I sat them down and calmly explained the dangers of this weapon. I then decided I needed to demonstrate. I blew through that pen and would you believe it the tack stuck into my tongue and groove wall. COOL says 10 year old.........
There's more.
Explained that it could do alot of damage if they shot one another or worse they could lose an eye. 5 year old looks at me and removes sunglasses he is wearing, and those big blue eyes are full of tears and he says to me..........
But Mum that's why I'm wearing the glasses...........
The Holidays have begun........................
