A Week In Reveiw....

Hi all

What a wild week we have had here, rain rain and more rain, no photos though as it is taking forever for them to load.

 

I have lots of Grandma time with Harrison, who likes be held all the time, never mind he is a joy to hold.

 

 

 

 

 

The grass has gone wild, I have mowed but as yo can see below the edges need doing and the gardens are full of weeds and grass. All this in 1 week.......You can also see my budlia and rose are leaning over, I am hoping they will come back.

All the boys are having a boys day/night out. They have gone to the Toowoomba swap meet, then going canoeing, tonight they are off to the footy. So I am having a nice quiet day with Chloe, Harrison and MIL.

 

I have moved a stool into the hallway and put some photos and candles there as I thought it was looking a bit bare. You can see that there is the right side with no photos on it, they are there waiting for me to put them up.

 



 I did the 2nd hand shoppes on Wednesday and got some great bargains.

2 wonderful vintage table clothes and some great clothes.

I'll share them in a later post.

About the house.....

Happy Tuesday all....

I wanted to share with you what I have been up to around the house lately. I picked this sign  up from a great shop in Gatton last time I was in there. Such a good saying  I think. As you can see I still haven't got around to painting the rest of the house. I was planning on doing it my self but I just don't have the time so I think I will have to call on Painter handy man Neville to come and do it for me at least it will get done then.

Last post I mentioned that we stopped at Ikea on the way home, I got a few little bits and bobs, my favorite being this new candle chandelier, loving it, it holds 10 candles.

As I don't have a light above the dinning room table I thought this would ground the table.

I have also brought in a stool to use along the window instead of chairs, manly because I don't have enough dinning room chairs. Also with the numbers I have been feeding you can fit more around a table with a long stool.

Looking at the above photos I have decided YES I have to get Neville down to paint. Funny how you stop seeing things that need to get done after a while isn't it.

I have made a start on getting the photos all back up in the hallway as well. I am thinking of painting all the frames black so they all look uniform.....not sure about this.I still have a lot of photos to put up on the other wall yet. I get them all out and then can't get it right so they all go back in the cup board..sighhhh  decision's decisions.

Below is my most favourite spot in the house, I love this table. At first I thought it was to big for the room but it has grown on me and we use it all the time, great for blogging on or when there is to many at the main table we use this one.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I have been up too. Not as much as I would like but I'm hoping that will change soon....

Spring is nearly here, the days are getting longer and warmer.

Tomorrow she will be here aghhhh

Spring.

The hallway is all painted and the new glass doors installed. (above) is as you come into the the front door and looking down the hallway to my bedroom.

Above is taken from my bedroom door looking back to the front door. All is looking a little sterile at the moment though for my liking but once all the family photos go up again it will look so much better. I just can't bring myself to hammer nails into the new paintwork just yet though.

below is how the hallway looked before it got painted........so much nicer and brighter. With the new glass doors so much more light can get through to the bedrooms now.

Remember the blackboard paint?

Well I got in and painted the pantry door with it. We now have no excuse for forgetting anything as it all goes on the blackboard....
