A walk in the front garden......

Hello and welcome.
We have been having the most amazing weather here so I have
been spending as much time as I can in the garden.

Here we are at the front gate...

Come on in and have a look around.

All the roses are blooming as are all the delphiniums that
self seeded from last summer.

The Jacaranda is starting to flower, soon the yard
will be a purple carpet.

This jacaranda tree is well over 60 years old and is my favorite tree.
Bruce being a plumber hates it as it clogs all the gutters up with the tiny leaves..

October really is the best month for my garden....

The front garden has a real cottage garden feel to it, and is shaded by\the Jacaranda.
I have so many David Austin roses, geraniums and saliva's to give this garden colour.

I hope you enjoyed your look around the front garden.
Next week I will show you the rest of the garden.
Tomorrow I am going to spend some time with my newest grandson Henry and his 2 sisters.
I am looking forward to spending time with them, so expect lots of baby photos when I get back.

Enjoy your week end...

  1. You have such a beautiful front garden. We live in jaca city and have many jacas on our 2 acre plot. I half agree with Bruce. We have a jaca near the clothes line and the leaves are more trouble than the flowers!!! I am sure they take 6 months to loose the leaves. They get in pockets of clothes in the peg box and basket and wherever else, they drive me nuts. The flowers just seem to fall to the ground and that's it. Have a great time with Henry and I look forward to the pictures.

  2. Gorgeous garden Mandy. You are ahead of us, our Jacaranda is not flowering yet.

  3. Gorgeous garden Mandy. You are ahead of us, our Jacaranda is not flowering yet.

  4. We have had a very warm October which has had the roses bursting into bloom early. Your garden is lovely, I love lots of little bits and pieces stuck in to fill spaces with colour. Have fun with those grandies!

    Cheers - Joolz xx
