A Sunny Start To The Day.

After I have got the children off to school
my mornings start here on my sunny veranda.
It is a good place to stop and sort out all that needs doing for the day.
Where do you stop to sort out your day ahead?
I think it would be fun to share photos of where our day starts.....
Yesterday I was able to get to town (on my own)
I had bills to pay and all those boring type things, that's not all I did though.
On the way to the bank I HAD to walk past one of my favourite little second hand shop.
Look what I found!!!!
This glorious little phone table already painted white and it was only $25.
Made going to town worth it.

After school the boys went out for a walk and William had to show Dad
his corn. Remember Williams vege garden?
Well he planted corn this time and look how tall it is. It's nearly ready to eat
and he can't wait....

This is my sick looking tomato bushes. I don't know
what is wrong with them. I think I will have to pull them all out
and get some others into the ground.

Today is so much cooler then what the rest of the week has been.
I think I will do some baking as having the oven on won't over heat the house today.
I hope every one has a great week end , no matter
where you are or what you will be doing....
Blessings to all
Mandy

  2. Good morning Mandy,

What a lovely little spot to sit and take stock of the day. I think I may have to set up something pleasant to start my day. My spot is the kitchen table, not very glamorous I'm afraid.

Your son's corn is going really well. My tomatoes too are more or less dead. I have been told not to plant tomatoes in the same spot for three years because the disease may be in the soil.

Thinking of your family often and praying that things are going okay for you all.

  3. Indiana is the mecca of corn. Tell that boy he made this "Hoosier" proud!

  4. What a beautiful spot to sit and start the day! I'll have to take a pic of my favorite spot to sit and share it with you. It's not as lovely though. ;-)

Hun, Just remember that I'm thinking of you... and that you and your entire family are in my prayers.

  7. Let's see....most mornings I have to go to work so I "greet" the day by paying attention to the mountains in sunrise while sipping coffee in the car. It's nice - if I'm not too crazy and hurried to just take the time:)

  9. Coming your way via Tatersmama. I am a fellow Christian and will add your family to my prayer list.

I haven't read all of your posts, but from what I've read, I just wanted to make a few comments.

I'm happy to hear your hubby is also seeing a naturopath and that you are juicing for him and eliminating foods that leave the body acidic.

I have a very dear missionary friend who successfully beat her cancer and is doing fabulously now. Her doctor gave her a 20% chance of making it, and wanted to get her on chemo again, but she'd already been through that once before so decided against it. To his disgust, she just changed her diet like you're doing. (She followed the Hallelujah Acres diet-- http://www.hacres.com --and her tumors started shrinking. After one year her oncologist reluctantly admited that her most recent MRI showed no more tumors at all! That was two years ago and she is still full of energy and doing fine!

It's a hard diet to follow, but when your life depends on it........

God Bless You and your family. I'll be praying.

  10. Looks like heat stress - tomatoes.
Love your verandah. Must do more to beautify mine. It has been drenched in rain this past week and a half, but it is sunny again today.

  11. Oh, my tomato plants look like that too. Your son's corn is IMPRESSIVE. Wow, well done.

I love where you sit and think in the morning. That would be lovely. At the moment I don't do that....perhaps that can change.
