Hi all....
What an amazing lot of wonderful women you all are. It has taken me a little while to come back to blog land and thank you all for your wonderful comments, thoughts and prayers. I will be by at some time to visit you all again..I want you to meet two young men that have been such a blessing to me in our sadness..First though you already know my eldest son David.
David
Amidst the sadness of the last week we have rejoiced in all being together...We have always been a close family but we have made bonds and memories this last week that nothing can take away. My David has been a tower of strength for myself and his brothers and sisters..He has sorted out the shed and organized all his Dads tools, something he new I couldn't do. That is only one of the things he did, he did so much more as well. David was there for a cuddle whenever I needed it, as I think he needed them as much as I did.....
Damian.
Then there is this young man, Damian. Damian is Chloe's boyfriend and they have only been going out six months. From the moment Greg went into hospital this man has stood at Chloe's side and been there for her. He has also been there for the whole family. To me this speaks of character in a person...I have to admit ladies I wasn't to sure about this fellow when Chloe bought him home as he came with some baggage.....Well as Chloe would say this ones a keeper.

Lachlan
Lachlan is Jess's boyfriend has been in the family for about six years..This young man took it upon himself to go to the workshop and get all Greg's tools together and bring them home for us. We have not always agreed with things Lachlan has done, but I do know one thing and that is, he has been there for us this week, ready and willing to do what ever needed doing, thanks Lachlan...
So what I am trying to say is meet the men in my family...Yes some live away but I know that they will be there to help us....Thank you boys you have made this past week a little easier for all of us.....

ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful Mandy. It is something I am only getting glimpses of as my family gets older.
ReplyDeleteMandy, Thank you for sharing these wonderful young men with us.
ReplyDeleteIt's great knowing that you have such wonderful and thoughtful supporters around you right now.
You're in my thoughts and prayers, my friend.
*hugs*
Katie
I know I'm new here but I'm so glad to see God providing for you through the love and outreach of young men who know how to step in and do things we sometimes have no idea how to do, even when we're NOT saddled with grief, but especially when we are.
ReplyDeleteOur prayers will be with you all as you move through this time and deal with each moment and each day.
Hugs to you from a new friend.
Mandy, thank God for those young men. They say the best / or worst, of people always comes out in a crisis, how wonderful that it was the best in this instance. It is so great to hear that they have done things for you, knowing how tough those things would have been for you, very thoughtful and kind young men.
ReplyDeleteKnowing you have such support around you and your family makes it more comforting for those of us who are far away and unable to help in anyway other than with prayers and thoughts.
Hugs Deb
Hi Mandy
ReplyDeleteSo good to see your family and friends giving support. You could say, these 'rough diamonds' really are the 'gems' in your life!
Love, Joolz
Hi Mandy, wanted to give you the biggest hug on Thursday, but there were so many people loving on you and it is such a difficult time at a funeral. You not only have these grown men to love help and support you but as we heard you have your little ones who are going to teach you to fish as well. So sweet. It takes time for the loss to ease, I am pleased you have these people in your life to help you. Take the time, cry, laugh, sleep, eat, sew, cry some more, how ever long it takes it takes. Kisses and hugs
ReplyDeleteKim
It's great that you guys have such an amazing support system. I've been thinking about you guys a lot. You and yours are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this with us, Mandy. It helps us know that God is hearing our prayers for you and surrounding you with the support you need.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep you in my prayers.
Hugs,
Sue
Everyone who comments before me always seems to take the words out of my mouth. Maybe we all think alike? Maybe we all feel so much for you Mandy. How great that you have so much support from your family and extended family and you will continue to need this for many months to come. Mandy we are all here for you and want to support you in any way we can. Take care. Carol.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back here, Many. My blog, and especially my blogging friends, is one of my greatest comforts. Thanks for your comment on my blog. Something else we have in common: I'm wearing my wedding ring--and I'm wearing Vanns too. At first I was wearing it on my thumb as you are with Greg's. But I found it fits better on the middle finger of my right hand. God bless you and your family, Mandy. Looks like we were both blessed with some remarkable friends and family. I'm glad you have those sweet young men to help.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you felt able to post this week and share about these great young men. I asked my friends to pray for you, and THREE people stopped me on Thursday in the village to say 'I am praying for your friend in Australia'
ReplyDeleteWe know it is going to be hard - but you are not alone. Hugs and blessings x
My dear friend
ReplyDeleteJust remember only exceptional people attract exceptional people into their lives. You are an amazingly strong and loving woman and these strong loving young men are taking their cues from you.
Much love and many hugs to you and all the children, my heart goes out to the younger ones - I lost my father when I was young and I remember being quite terrified.
I will send more prayers your way this wek as now everyone will go home and you and the kids will ahve to find a way to move forward.
Thinking of you and praying for you
