White....Clean and fresh.
Yes I am thinking of painting all the lower parts of my kitchen white.
I love the color of my blue walls and my wooden kitchen, only I am finding it all very dark. I am looking for a freshness to my kitchen as it is looking tired and dull. ( ha I bit like me)
But ....
I don't know if I am brave enough to paint it all white.. I know it would look wonderful with all the doors and drawers painted...Then there is the fact that wood hides the dirt and grime, yes that's right there is 15 years of grime on those cabinets. White would show up ALL the marks.
Mmmmmmm
I am wondering what YOU my readers would do???
Would you paint or not?
What would you do to CHEAPLY fix this tired old kitchen of mine..
Enjoy your week end my friends.
Blessings
Mandy
I love the wood lol! We got a new kitchen put in 4 years ago, we still haven't done the tiling and ours is a buttermilk colour and the dirt it shows up is just horrendous!! Yes it does make the kitchen look nice and bright but I so wish I had gone with wood. I find I have to wipe the cupboards down every day. Those that are up high don't quite get the same treatment as I can't reach and I tell you, after a month you can stand and look up and all you can see is dark dust sitting up there. So I know I'm not much help lol but I say stick with the timber and maybe just get some knew door handles to spruce it up a little.
ReplyDeleteI once had a white kitchen NEVER again. You could go around every day and wipe the cupboards down. You really love the walls, but maybe try them white first. If you really don't like it you can always paint them blue again. Sounds like a lot of work but in the long run it would be easier than wiping down the cupboards all the time.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of wood and white together, I would paint the blue walls white and leave the cupboards as they are.
ReplyDeleteI wood paint them white to brighten it up. I love white and blue together
